• Controlled clinical trials to 1997
  This list of trials is the result of an extensive literature search which was performed by the British Homeopathic Library to find all controlled clinical trials in homeopathy for the European Commission Homoeopathic Medicine Research Group. The HMRG used the results of this search to perform a critical literature review and meta-analysis of controlled clinical trials in homeopathy. Their report was published in December 1996.
  
  To be included in this list, each trial had to be on humans, have two or more comparison groups (not necessarily a placebo group) and be prospective with results. Many of the trials included in this list were eventually not considered to be of sufficiently good quality to merit inclusion in the final meta-analysis.
  
  K indicates that the trial was included in an earlier meta-analysis by Kleijnen et al, and gives its reference number in that paper. * indicates that the reference is a second article on a trial listed here, either as a translation of the trial, or as a second part, or giving additional information.
